Convenient and comprehensive solutions for CAD/CAM restorations
SAVANNAH, GA (October 12, 2018)– Brasseler U.S.A. Dental, LLC (Brasseler USA), a leading manufacturer of quality dental instrumentation, is pleased to announce the development of new procedure systems for use in CEREC® procedures with cerecdoctors.com. These new procedure systems incorporating Winter Restorative Concepts, a line of diamond burs and refinement instruments by Dr. Robert Winter, now provide clinicians end-to-end solutions for the preparation, finishing and polishing of ceramic CAD/CAM restorations.
Brasseler USA CAD/CAM procedure systems are available in:
- Anterior and posterior tooth preparation systems featuring the Winter Depth Limiting and Winter Shoulder Series of diamonds. These diamonds provide clinicians minimally invasive, precise preparation design ensuring more predictable outcomes for CAD/CAM dentistry.
- An intra-oral ceramic adjustment and polishing system as well as an extra-oral ceramic adjustment and polishing system featuring the Dialite® LD Feather Lite™ series of polishers. These polishers provide clinicians with flexible polishing spirals that easily adapt to any surface, leaving behind an enamel-like finish while preserving unique surface differentiation on ceramic materials, including Zirconia and Lithium Disilicate.
These procedure systems are used and taught by leading dental professionals including Spear Education and cerecdoctors.com.

These are really terrific systems; my preps and restorations have become even more polished and predictable. Definitely recommend!
Love the Winter prep kit, definitely makes preps uniform and predictable. Just picked up the zirconia adjusting and polishing kit as well, which is very nice for intraoral adjusting. High quality gear.
The kits are really well laid out with just the burs that you need. Prepping a margin with a Winter Shoulder bur gives the perfect margin geometry for milling.
Can't say enough good things about this bur system. It's so logical and intuitive. Also, the Spear Education hands-on workshops, Restorative Design and Anterior Restorative Design, changed my entire prep protocol and made me a better and more efficient clinician. Thank you, Dr. Bob Winter.
For those of us who haven't purchased these and wish to do so how often do you go through each bur? Do yo recommend purchasing multiple extra burs with the starter kit? If so, which ones do you go through fastest?
Amazing kit. Please check it out.
We worked with Dr. Winter to modify his famous kits to better serve the CAD/CAM world. Please check out the video I made on the kits

I’ve used it on two cases already, really improved my results! I was able to get smoother margins more efficiently and quickly. Mike’s workflow was a great help too, I had a similar workflow already but Mike’s bur selection and sequencing really helped. Great product and great video!
I took Bob Winters Spear RD and ARD a few years ago and it has been absolutely key to my prep design and restoration success. Love the concept. Highly recommended!

Your best bet would be to go to the Brasselerusa.com site and ask them this question in the "Help" section.

I would like to know this as well
I'm ordering these preparation bur kits and would like to know if I should purchase additional burs at the same time. If so, what burs do you go through the most and which replacement burs should I order with my kits?
I think i have 2 ant and 3 posterior prep kits. I like having them always ready. The ones i go through the fastest are the 1.0 super course and reduction burs.
Thank you, Mike! If you can estimate, how many preps do you think you are getting with those two burs before replacing them?

That is hard. I tend to use burs probably too long :)
I would guess 15-20 preps?
For those of you on the fence on this kit. It is truly amazing.
Ok that’s a good amount! Also I knew you were a fan of chamfers, this looked like a shoulder to me but maybe a little more rounded, Is this a sort of hybrid between the two?
As much as I like the design and thoughtful combination of the blocks I have two areas of contention.
1. Life of the diamonds with regular use especially the reduction burs.
2. Overall cost of the kits. As manufacturer I’d make the kit reasonable and count on long time re-orders from satisfied doctors.
I cannot give you any scientific info here about my experience but since a cerecdoctor I’m following the advice of my faculty and tryout everything they recommend. That said I do still like the Meisinger cerecdoctors.com kit very much.
