Its time to give thanks
Its that time of the year where work and family time all blend into one. Its the time where we take a step back and look at the landscape and realize that there is more to life than margins or margin thickness.
12 years ago we started this website with a dream, a dream to help the CEREC community. While a lot has changed in 12 years, including the distributors, the blocks, the software, the people, what has not changed is my sense of gratitude to the CEREC community that has allowed me to turn my dream into a career.
Im grateful for my friends Mark and Mike and all the others that carry me when Im down. Im grateful for my incredible team that works behind the scenes to make the rest of us look good.
Im grateful to all of you that through thick and thin have trusted us with your well being to provide you with whatever little knowledge and information we are able to share. We are honored to be given that responsibility and we do not take it lightly.
Most importantly Im grateful for my family. Next Tuesday my wife and celebrate 20 years of marriage. It seemed like yesterday I was trying to convince her to go out with me.
Life has its ups and downs but this is a time of year to look around and be grateful. There are so many in the world that do not have the resources that we are all blessed with. The next time your margin doesnt quite mill just right, or the milling unit doesnt communicate with your Speedfire, just take a moment and realize that things could be so much worse.
Thank you all for making this community great. All the incredible contributors who give selflessly to help other CEREC owners. May you all have an incredible and happy thanksgiving holiday!
Thanks to you, Sam, for creating the environment that allows us to help so many. Grateful for the community and looking forward to what is coming down the road. Your hard work is much appreciated.
Happy Thanksgiving to all and I am incredibly thankful for all the amazing people on this site both those that I know personally and those I have not had the chance to meet yet!! Enjoy some time with friends and family and there is certainly more to life than margins.

Vickie and I will only have 2 years next Monday...but it took THREE people to get her to consider going out with me the first time 'cause "she doesn't do geeks." LOL
This community wouldn't exist without you Sam. Thanks for your tireless commitment and hard work to maintain this community and help it flourish to what it has become today.
Well said Sam. I am grateful for so much. This community has been so amazing and continues to amaze me. Many of you that I now call friends I never knew a year or so ago.
I met my bride 17 years ago and I am still after her as much as the day I met her...probably more

Some of the best friends I have in life are because of this site and what you have created. I’m so thankful for that and lucky to have been able to be a participant with all of us on this site in what continues to shape dentistry. My wife and I just celebrated 21 years. I think she is able to stay with me cause I travel so much that she only gets to see me a few days a week sometimes. I met her my freshman year of dental school on a blind date. I was recovering from knee surgery after a skiing accident and rehabbed hard so I happened to be in shape for the first time ever. When I met her I warned her this was a bait and switch and i would not look like this in about 6 months. Crazy thing still stayed with me. Life is good!
Well said Sam... this is such a great community to learn both empirically thru training, share and be fulfilled with each others experiences- both successes and shortcomings- in a professional and positive way...Thank YOU!

Thanks Sam, I was wondering when this blog would start, and I didn't want to steal your thunder. I too am so grateful to have this community as part of my life. I have so many colleagues around here chomping at the bit to retire and sick of dentistry. I can't fathom it. Yet I know the fellowship of t all of you folks in my life makes me happy to get up and come to the office every day.

I am thankful first and foremost for my family and health. I’ve been on the other side of good health 9 1/2 years ago and have worked very hard to regain it. Life is good!!!

So many great responses. I originally started here to get off the ground with cad cam dentistry. I have learned so much, but this group is so much more. The environment of unselfish sharing is impressive. The support given without condemnation is commendable. I tell everyone I get to do really cool stuff all day long.
