Anterior CG2 case, looking for critique and advice please
I would try to rotate the top of the planned implant position away from #11 just a little bit so that the sleeve does not impinge so much on the tooth.
Also, are you using digital enamel Cerec Guide keys, or the Biohorizons guided surgery kit? I can't tell how your D2 is set.

We will rotate the implant away from #11 as you suggested, thank you for that
We have the digital enamel keys and the biohorizon guided kit, we had planned to use the DE keys for this CG2
I think you've got a problem with your D2 setting. Basically you have 4 lengths of drills with stops on them in the Biohorizons guided surgery kit: 17mm, 21mm, 24mm, and 28mm. I have not used their keys, instead opting to "hack" the CG2 and use the Biohorizons keys instead, but Digital Enamel say that the guided drills do fit correctly in their keys. The digital enamel keys are 1mm thick, so your D2 can only be one of those drill lengths minus 1mm. In other words, you can enter a D2 of 16, 20, 23, or 27. Try each of them and look at the graphic to see which makes sense in your case; based on the depth of the implant my guess is that either the 23 or 27 will be easiest but that's ultimately up to you.

On 5/31/2017 at 2:05 pm, Jeremy Bewley said...I can confirm that the digital enamel keys work seamlessly with the Biohorizons drills. The only downside is that only the drilling sequence is guided, not the implant placement. Jeremy's hack gives you a true, fully guided placement. If you're comfortable placing the implant without a guide, a cg2 with the digital enamel keys will be easiest with the least amount of work. If you want fully guided, check out Jeremy's post on converting to Biohorizons sleeves.I think you've got a problem with your D2 setting. I wrote a detailed thread some time back; you should be able to use the terrific search function on this site to find it pretty easily

Search function on this site may not be seamless, i too would love to be able to search while on my phone but the support here is superb! Thank you all so much!

After reading your thread I believe we have decided to use the hack and trust our BH guided system and place a master cylinder in the CG2 since its a 3.8, there shouldnt be a fit issue there correct?
and we chose the BH key system which locked in our D2 for us. Please review photos and provide feedback! Thanks again

Time out!
You only choose the Biohorizons guided surgery if you're sending it to Sicat. I don't think you will be able to mill or print it this way, only send it to Sicat.
If you're making the cg2 then you need to subtract 2mm from your chosen drill length instead of one. This is because the sleeve is 0.5mm and the key is something like 1.47mm.
Select cg2, choose the medium size hole, choose your drill length and subtract 2 to set your D2. Now you will be able to export your cmg.dxd back to the Cerec machine for guide fab and production.
