The Official Ivoclar Speed Cycle
As many of you know, there has been a rogue emax speed cycle in use with success for a number of years. Â That use prompted Ivoclar to release its own shortened cycle. Â While not quite as short as the 12:40 cycle, the Ivoclar cycle is 14:50 in length. About 2 minutes longer.
To run this cycle you need a special firing tray which is a lot smaller. You can see the photo below where the new tray is next to an emax block.
This cycle is fully tested by Ivoclar and has its seal of approval. Â The cycle will be released on November 1st and requires a software update for your Ivoclar oven.
Ill be posting a video of the process of how to upgrade your oven in the coming week. Exciting times for sure where we are pushing our manufacturing partners to push the limits to make it easier for all of us to provide great care in a short amount of time.
Thanks for the update Sam! Can we order the new firing tray now, or do we have to wait till Nov 1st?
Paint on glaze according to Ivoclar will not work but I use the paint on glaze with the 12 minute cycle. As long as you paint it on very thin, should be no problem to use paint on glaze.
