DON'T CHEAT

Here's a fractured e.max. I'm shocked it lasted three years – once I removed the e.max, the plunging opposing cusp was almost touching the prep.

On a side note, the easiest way to remove e.max is to get to below the line where e.max is bonded to tooth. Then run a flat disc underneath that junction and the rest of the e.max comes off easily.

Here's me measuring how much thickness I had. Maybe 0.4 mm. ALWAYS TAKE OUT THE ISOLITE AND HAVE THE PATIENT BITE DOWN TO CONFIRM YOU HAVE REDUCED ENOUGH.

Visual check only can be deceiving. Thickness measuring tabs are helpful.

Armen, what's your source for the flat disc which you use to remove E-max? Thanks, Henry
