Here's a fractured e.max. I'm shocked it lasted three years – once I removed the e.max, the plunging opposing cusp was almost touching the prep.
On a side note, the easiest way to remove e.max is to get to below the line where e.max is bonded to tooth. Then run a flat disc underneath that junction and the rest of the e.max comes off easily.
Here's me measuring how much thickness I had. Maybe 0.4 mm. ALWAYS TAKE OUT THE ISOLITE AND HAVE THE PATIENT BITE DOWN TO CONFIRM YOU HAVE REDUCED ENOUGH.
