Questions on Imaging With Omnicam

There has been some questions on the boards lately about imaging with the omnicam.  When imaging with the omnicam, it is best to both start and end on the occlusal surface, and when dealing with the preparation arch, to end the camera on the occlusal looking straight down the prep.  If you end your imaging on the buccal or the lingual, the models tend to be tipped to the side.  When this happens, stitching the buccal bite can be a bit more difficult as well as the possibility for troublesome proposals.  Our newest faculty member, Dr Steve Nielsen, made a nice video on what to look for to determine if this has happened to you, and how to correct the problem.  Check out this link to our message board forum and watch his video helping out a fellow CEREC user.  It may help you with a future case.
